Early attempts
As friends and family were getting digital cameras, I eventually got a Kodak DC260 hand-me-down, and started experimenting. These pictures are some of my favorites, from subject pictures to landscapes, although my landscapes are significantly better.

New camera
The camera I had been eyeing for a few years, I finally got, an olympus D-580zoom. My world opened up to night and distance and faster pictures. These being the best of those early pictures.

Learning to fiddle
So now I've become familiar with the camera, I start to work with settings and subject oriented pictures. I feel my scenery shots are really starting to look good at this point.

Add tripod
One trip, I end up getting a tripod, a nice manfretto. This gives me the opportunity to capture both motion and stillness in new ways. Colors seem to start coming out better as well.

Picture cutting
Recently, I've been practicing much more working on object based pictures, and also on cutting pictures to show the focus off a bit better. I like how a lot of these pictures are coming out.
